Conversion and extension of the former red brick Victorian bakery and shop on a tight site in the centre of Leiston.
The nature of the site generates complex party wall issues, exacerbated by flying freeholds, which have required working closely with structural and acoustic specialists.
The scheme includes the removal of some single storey elements, a new build range, and the addition of new first floor accommodation to provide a new café with street frontage and 5 flats of one and two bedrooms which the client has specifically targeted at first time buyers.
Works to the cafe and one of the flats are now complete, with other units ongoing.
