Elm Farm Barn 1

Conversion of a large and striking timber-framed former agricultural barn in the curtilage of a Grade II listed farmhouse (the farmstead is also of specific historic interest in its own right). The curtilage classification meant effectively dealing with the barn as being listed itself, requiring a close working relationship with Conservation Officers to agree detail.

The scheme provides a five bedroomed property over one and two floors responding to the variation in height of the various ranges, and features its own ‘miniature lake’. The build included natural insulation products and air source heat pumps to provide space heating.
